| The Men & Women for Human Excellence, Inc. (MWFHE, Inc.) endeavor began with the vision of Founder and President, Kenny Ali. His dreams of making a difference and reaching out into the community where he lived fostered his desire and pushed him into action. He was tired of watching his friends and the younger generation stand on corners and get swallowed up by drugs, violence, hunger, prostitution and total ignorance. He noticed that the number one employer in his neighborhood was the drug pusher, and the pay was death and jails. He remembered the time when he was among the army of the living-dead, and living life without hope was the criteria for membership. |

MWFHE, Inc. was formed in 2000, as an opportunity to develop and implement a grassroots community-based mentoring organization designed to rebuild our community one family at a time, one man at a time, one woman at a time, and one child at a time. MWFHE, Inc. is currently reaching out to the North Central Philadelphia youth ages 7-15, to empower, develop and inspire them to be positive role models in their community and to have a positive impact on tomorrow. MWFHE, Inc. seeks to strengthen families through the means of youth involvement in its Self-Esteem/Self-Image building program. MWFHE, Inc. also has targeted adult males who are unemployed and re-entering society from institutions as individuals that can benefit greatly from the twelve principles. |
